This notice covers the public Orcero website and messages you send us. It is not a data processing agreement for customers using the Orcero platform.
Information you choose to give us
If you email us, we receive your email address, your message and anything you include, so that we can reply. Please share only what the conversation needs.
The contact links on this website open your own email app; the website itself doesn’t collect what you send. Asking about product updates doesn’t sign you up to marketing emails.
The waiting list
If you join the Orcero waiting list, we keep your name, your email address, the industry you choose, which website you signed up on, and when and with what wording you agreed to hear from us. We then email you a link to confirm your address, and we’ll email you when Orcero launches, with occasional launch news. We don’t send anything else to waiting-list addresses.
To know whether our emails arrive, we record when each one was sent, whether our email provider reports it delivered, bounced or marked as spam, and whether you confirmed or unsubscribed. We don’t track whether you open our emails or which links you click.
We don’t store your IP address with your waiting-list entry. Like the rest of the website, though, the form uses a session so that it can protect itself against forged submissions, and the session record on our servers holds your IP address and your browser’s user agent for the session lifetime (120 minutes by default; the production setting is to be confirmed). If something on the form needs correcting, the session also holds the name and email you typed until the form shows them back to you.
To stop automated sign-ups, the website also keeps a scrambled form of your IP address, which can’t be read back, for about ten minutes, and the form has a hidden field that only bots fill in. There is no third-party CAPTCHA.
Every email has an unsubscribe link, and it works at once. You can also email us to unsubscribe or to have your details deleted.
Technical information
Our hosting and security services may process request details such as your IP address, the time, the page address, your browser and any errors, to deliver and protect the website. The website’s own session records, kept in our database for the session lifetime, include your IP address and your browser’s user agent. The production logging settings and retention period are to be confirmed.
The website’s fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser sends Google a request that includes your IP address. The cookie notice remembers your choice in your own browser; our cookie notice explains what it stores and for how long. The website doesn’t use analytics or advertising tools.
Why we use it
We reply to enquiries and keep the website secure on the basis of our legitimate interests in talking with interested businesses and running a safe service. If you ask us to take steps before entering a contract, that may also apply.
We send waiting-list emails because you asked us to: your consent, given on the waiting-list form. You can withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing.
Marketing emails need a separate, clear choice. Contacting us or acknowledging the cookie notice doesn’t sign you up.
Who else may receive it?
Our website hosting and email providers process information to provide their services, and Google receives requests for the website’s fonts. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Waiting-list emails are sent by Resend (Resend, Inc.), which processes your name and email address on our behalf to send them and tells us whether they were delivered. Resend is based in the United States, so your details may be processed there; the safeguards that protect that transfer are to be confirmed.
The full list of providers, where they process data, their safeguards and any other international transfers are to be confirmed.
How long we keep it
We keep waiting-list details until Orcero launches and for a period to be confirmed after that, or until you ask us to delete them. Unconfirmed sign-ups are kept for the same period. If you unsubscribe, we keep only what we need to make sure we never email you again, unless you ask us to delete that too.
How long we keep enquiry emails and server logs is to be confirmed. The cookie notice preference expires after 180 days and is removed on your next visit after that; you can clear it sooner in your browser settings.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the law and your circumstances, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or transfer your information, and to object to how it’s used. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this doesn’t affect anything we did before.
To leave the waiting list, use the unsubscribe link in any of our emails. To make any other request, including deleting your waiting-list details, email hello@franinfra.com. We may need enough information to confirm who is asking. You can also raise a concern with the supervisory authority; in the UK that’s the Information Commissioner’s Office.
